Magnesium alloy lost die forging is also one of the hot research topics. A variety of complex magnesium alloy castings have been successfully poured. It is considered that vacuum low pressure lost die forging has the comprehensive technical advantages of low pressure forging and vacuum lost die forging, which greatly improves the forging filling capacity of magnesium alloy, and is a kind of forging process suitable for magnesium alloy liquid forming. The filling forms of magnesium alloy under different vacuum degrees were also observed. The liquid metal moved forward steadily without vacuum pouring. During vacuum pouring, liquid metal is preferred to be filled along the wall first in a concave shape.
The vacuum low pressure die forging of magnesium alloy was studied by Zi Tian et al. Liu Zili et al. used full-factor experimental design to study the influence of the most important process factors in magnesium alloy lost die forging: pouring temperature, vacuum degree and appearance thickness on the filling speed.
